Founded on July 4, 2008, the Justice Cecilia Muñoz Palma Foundation, Inc. aims to honor the life and career of one of the most outstanding and admirable Filipino women in the country.

Its objectives are:

  • To honor the memory, and relive the spirit and ideals of the late Supreme Court Justice Cecilia Muñoz Palma, a “Woman of Firsts” in the legal profession and champion of the cause of democracy, human rights, truth, freedom, and justice in the Philippines.
  • To sponsor and/or initiate innovative projects intended for the advancement of the rule of law, freedom, justice, democracy, peace, human rights; and
  • To support the college or vocational education of deserving underprivileged students.


A Filipino nation who embodies the ideals, values, and principles of Justice Cecilia Muñoz Palma.


The Justice Cecilia Muñoz Palma Foundation endeavors to preserve the legacy of JCMP and to promote and advocate the rule of law, and the values of democratic participation, human rights, and independence of judgment – advocacies and values that Justice Cecilia Muñoz Palma uphold — through education and legal awareness to the public and to people who dispense justice.
